Career Highlights to Date
In 2005, Mr. Scott was elected Vice President of the World Association of Detectives at its Annual Conference held in conjunction with the World Investigative Conference, marking a 5 year commitment to provide leadership to this important and prestigious organization as he progresses "through the chairs," eventually leading to service as President and then Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Scott was appointed by unanimous vote by both Houses of the N.C. Legislature upon nomination by the N.C. Speaker of the House of Representatives, to the N.C. Private Protective Services Board (The State Investigative and Security Regulatory Board) and then elected by this Board as Vice-Chairman and N.C. Representative to the National Association of Security and Investigative Regulators. He has chaired important committees and sub-committees of State, National, and International governmental regulatory organizations.

Mr. Scott has more than twenty-eight years of true hands-on investigative experienced while licensed in insurance investigations and/or private investigations. He has been personally responsible for positive results in over 7,000 investigative operations, conducted in such cases as civil liability, criminal defense, insurance fraud, murder, arson, rape, missing persons, copyright and trademark infringement, recovery of missing children, robbery, extortion, fraud, executive marital disputes, government and corporate espionage, electronic eavesdropping countermeasures, area studies of foreign business sites, and more.

Various cases have been successfully closed through intensive investigative and security efforts, domestically in forty-five of the fifty U.S. States, and in forty-seven foreign countries. Case work was accomplished using teams of American and British Investigators and utilizing a worldwide network of locally licensed, screened, experienced foreign nationals. Clients have ranged from private executives and visiting dignitaries to U.S. Federal, State, and local governments, private businesses and Fortune 100 corporations.

Mr. Scott has joined in intensive hands-on training in Executive/VIP Protection, conducted by, and in conjunction with, former U.S. Army Special Forces Delta Force operatives and "First Family" Secret Service agents as both student and assistant trainer. Additionally, he has conducted and/or participated in numerous protective details involving both male and female principals.

Mr. Scott has conducted and participated in electronics countermeasures "sweeps" that have resulted in a number of illegal and surreptitious "bugs" and "taps" being located and identified. Professional training in "TSCM" expertise was obtained through the top national training facilities and by the best of America's top "sweep" experts.

Mr. Scott became a full partner and was voted to the Board of Directors with Confidential Business Resources, Inc., a full-service nationwide investigative agency with twenty-four professional offices and experienced staff of more than 150 licensed investigators covering every US state. Scott & Associates Investigations, Inc. was an integral part of CBR and conducted all CBR investigations in the Carolinas and foreign locales.

Mr. Scott organized and established the East Coast Division of West Shield Adolescent Services, Inc., best-known as the nation's premier adolescent transportation agency. West Shield Adolescent Services, Inc, pioneered the technique of utilizing a non-violent, non-physical approach to transporting troubled adolescents from home or hospital to programs, schools, and facilities throughout the United States and around the world. WSAS personnel are also experienced and licensed to locate runaways and provide crisis intervention. All services are based on the principles of non-violent crisis intervention techniques, which emphasize communication to resolve conflict. Compassion and patience are used in all work with adolescents. WSAS has assisted more than 7,000 families over more than twenty years in the industry, and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist families in need.

Mr. Scott established Asia America Investigations and serves as its Managing Director. For Americans conducting business throughout Asia, this Agency has set the international standards for evidence. "Foreign Investigations and evidence relevant in American Courts" is the motto and key to the success of this division of Scott & Associates Investigations, Inc. Asia America Investigations has become the preferred overseas Agency for surveillance, undercover operations, records checks, and general investigations. It has become increasingly important for businesses to know with whom they are dealing. To be relevant in American and World Courts, investigations must be conducted in a manner consistent with American evidence standards, and that evidence must be available in this country when it is needed through formal reports and reliable testimony.

It can be difficult to guarantee that foreign nationals are able to enter the USA on specific dates for court, so Asia America Investigations calls upon its cadre of investigators "in country" when advisable, yet, when necessary, utilizes investigators from its USA office, who then travel to "bring the evidence back home" for presentation on demand.

At an International Annual Conference in Berlin, Germany, Mr. Scott was elected to the Board of Directors of the World Association of Detectives, Inc. (established in 1925 as the world's most prestigious and discriminating Private Investigator and Security Association, comprised of more than 900 professionals from 77 different countries). Mr. Scott has since been consistently re-elected to the WAD Board and has additionally served the Association as "AREA GOVERNOR FOR THE AMERICAS" managing the efforts of all the WAD AMBASSADORS from North, Central, Latin and South America.

In 2005, at a WAD Annual Conference held in conjunction with the "World Investigators Conference," Mr. Scott marked an additional commitment to the profession by accepting election as Vice President of the World Association of Detectives. He has committed to participate in two international Conferences each year and to serve for three years as Vice President (2005 - 2008), a year as President (2008 - 2009), and then another year as Chairman of the Board (2009 - 20010), all contingent on affirmative majority vote of the Membership.
